CLUTCH HUB WEAR

When inspecting the factory cast Clutch Hub (Inner and Outer) look for chatter / wear marks on the Hub fingers - See sidebar picture

The fingers should be SMOOTH and Flat!

If the ridges are minor you can use a draw file to smooth them down. Be carefull not to remove too much material, this may result in the fingers breaking off or the clutch dragging.

CLUTCH INSPECTION

Fiber Plate wear - min thickness 2.80mm

Steel Plate wear - Check for warpage max 0.2mm

Spring Hieght - 32.2mm (1.31") Minimum

AFTER MARKET OPTIONS

There are a number of aftermarket manufactures out there producing Clutch Baskets - None are a Direct fit for the T4. A modified KX500 basket can be used.
